Port Conquest
Conquest depends on influence and flagbearer ships.

Conquest is a sustained pressure system: winning a battle is only the start if you want to take a port.
Influence is conquest pressure on a specific port. A successful attack with a surviving Flagbearer adds influence for the attacking player or Armada. Influence fades over time, so conquest usually rewards coordinated follow-up attacks and keeping defenders cleared.

Strengths and watchouts

Section titled “Useful notes”- Send Flagbearer Ships only when your attack has a realistic chance to win.
- Treat influence as temporary pressure that needs follow-up.
- Plan repeated pressure so influence does not fade before you finish the takeover.
- Expect defenders, orders, and routes to matter around a contested port.
Watchouts
Section titled “Watchouts”- Winning one battle is not enough if pressure fades or the captured port cannot be held.
