Trade Ships are logistics units. They provide capacity for market offers, trade routes, and loot, but they are weak combat ships and should be protected.

How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”- Moving resources through trade routes, market activity, or loot capacity.
- Supporting ports that need resource help faster than local production can provide.
- Trade Ship becomes available after Trade Post level 1. Plan Docks or HQ progress around this unlock if the role matters to your next goal.
Strengths and watchouts

Section titled “Useful notes”- Costs 100 wood, 120 cloth, 90 metal, and 20 population to build.
- Standard build time is 10m before port and skill bonuses.
- Only Fire Ships directly damage Port Defenses after a successful attack.
- Trade Ships are valuable for logistics, but they need escort protection in dangerous waters.
- Each surviving ship can carry up to 500 resources when capacity matters.
Watchouts
Section titled “Watchouts”- Does not directly damage Port Defenses after a win.
- Very weak combat values make it poor as an escort or defender.
